What is the Guaranteed Transfer Deposit?
Due to limitations caused by COVID-19, the Whistler Shuttle service now has a minimum occupancy of 2 travellers in order to operate.
We will continue to guarantee all bookings made with at least 72 hours notice, however, in order to do this, we will now have in place the Guaranteed Transfer Deposit.
If you are booking for one passenger on the shuttle, you will be automatically charged for the cost of two adult seats rather than one.
This means your space on the shuttle is guaranteed regardless of if any other passengers book on the service. If you are the only passenger, your reservation will not be cancelled. However, if anyone else does book onto the same service you will receive a full refund for the second seat.
Who has to pay for the Guaranteed Transfer Deposit?
You will automatically have the 'Single Traveler Charge' added to your basket at check-out if you are booking online for only one passenger. If you make the booking over the phone, you will also need to pay for this charge if you are only booking for one passenger.
If you are booking more than one passenger, whether online or on the phone, you will not be charged.
When will you know if I will receive a refund for this charge?
If you are entitled to a refund of the deposit, you will be notified after the trip has taken place and your refund will be processed within 48 hours.
If someone else is already travelling on the service I am booking, do I still have to pay the deposit?
If you would prefer you can call us to find out if there are already other passengers on the service. If this is the case, you can book over the phone without paying the deposit if you choose. However, please be aware should the other passengers cancel, you will either need to move to another service or pay for the extra seat for the transfer to be guaranteed.
For this reason, we strongly recommend that single travellers pay for the two seats to avoid having your transfer cancelled. We will do all we can do group single passengers with other parties so that you will receive the deposit back.
If I cancel, will I be refunded for both seats?
The deposit is subject to our normal terms and conditions. This means if you cancel 24 hours ahead of your departure you will be fully refunded for both the seat and the deposit. However, if you cancel inside 24 hours both seats are non-refundable.
